What is the difference between print & web?

Print and Web differ from each other because of their presentation to a different kind of readers. While the Print gives you detailed news about headlines, like most the newspapers do. Web also provides information about the headlines, but not really in full detail as a newspaper. For a better understanding, we are going to compare an article which is published both in Web and Print.

The article’s title is same but the information published is more the authors point of view and not public opinion so the information is kind of a story and lacks reality in it. Most of the people tend to read it get bored. But the information provided in boston.com is much more dramatically explained, with every detail that happened from the beginning, like what time they got into the platform and what they were doing and what happened. Each and every single detail is expressed in this web based news site. This makes readers more alluring than the lame newspaper. And all the news published is info given by the people who were present at the time of the incident. And another advantage of online news websites are, that we can leave comments or publish it on are blog, and see different points of view of people around the world. This can’t happen in a printed media. And the news published in a printed media is always restricted to small part because of space that is provided for that particular article. So, we may sometimes not understand or know the events exactly as they happened.

Many of the internet sites for news have streaming video or animation of the article or incident that they publish. This makes most of the people attracted to the internet rather than newspaper. If any events happen it is updated to the website within the next 20 – 30 mins, but this is not possible with newspaper. And the most important fact that most of the people stick on to the internet rather than newspaper is that because “it’s free”.
